NONE of these diseases ....Exodus 13:26
We suffer from many diseases in life, I got chicken pox, double typhoid, jaundice, and then chukengunya and many minor ailments, and presently with Hypothyroid, and arthritis, still going on spree with suffering of small and big. But life goes on, on and on. Twice God gave me promises from the Word of God and healed me. But the repercussions of those diseases still carried in my body. This physical body is prone to die day by day. The death is sealed in our cells from the day one of that forbidden fruit was eaten by Mrs. Eve first and Mr.Adam next. The death penalty is written on every cell of the creation as a result of that disobedience of the law given by God. Birds, animals trees, or humans, whichever has life and cells have this seal of death. Whether one likes it or not, one has to face it. Cells are the basic building blocks of all living things. The human body is composed of trillions of cells They provide structure for the body, take in nutrients from food, convert those nutrients into energy and carry out specialized functions. Like all living cells die. The number of cells that an adult male loses per minute is roughly 96 million, Fortunately , in that same minute about 96 million cells divided, replacing those that died. Just you shed dead skin cells, dead cells from internal organs pass through and out of the body with waste products. the length of a cell's life can vary. Fro example, white blood cells live for about thirteen days, cells in the top layer of your skin live about 30 days red blood cells live for about 120 days and liver cells live about 18 months.
Cells go through a natural life cycle which includes growth, maturity, and death. so death is inevitable, and in old age, the shedding of cells takes more in number, and replacing of new cells takes less and less as time goes on. So from the very beginning death lives in us. But diseases are symptoms of the death underneath. we fight over these diseases, and some of us survive, others are not. If we look into the remedy of these symptoms of death in our body, these are different types. Spiritual remedy, Physical remedy, Psychological remedy etc. Each person clings to one type of remedy just to prolong our lives. If we look at Physical remedy, there are so many types of medicines available. Homeopathy, Allopathy , Ayurveda, etc etc Each one trust in one or two or all. they strive to suppress the symptoms, and go on in life in better possible way. Psychological remedies, they says have control over the mind, do yoga, do this and that and suppress the symptoms. There Spiritual remedies, these are different types. These remedies depend on different spiritual reasons, in a Christian life. Because only Christian has the will and wish to seek the cause of the symptoms, unlike the infidel who loves to slumber in the thought of Fate if the Physical and Psychological remedies do not work for him.
Therefore let us the spiritual remedies for our symptoms of the death that lives in our cells from the day one we were born. Let us take some examples from the Bible, the Patriarch Job suffered very much with so many diseases, he got ulcers, disseminated over the skin, and also because leprosy is an exemplary sanction imposed by way of example by God to punish those who have committed a sin. Autosomal dominant HYEPRIMMUNOGLOVULIN e (IgE) syndrome was first described a JOB syndrome in 1966 and included the triad of eosinophilic, eczema and recurrent skin and pulmonary infections (smote with sore boils )pain sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. Life of misery attributed to JOB by God, not because of his sin, but because of his righteous life. Job 2:3 verse. There is no one on earth like JOB he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason. " --- So i is a test to upright, the attitud-Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am Strong. May be so that I would not be exalted myself more than I should, this disease is suppressing me !!"7 verse, he says To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was give me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. What a man of God of his category, of his stature, tormented by Satan? He knew that it was not from God, he knew it was because of Satan, yet he was not relieved of this torment disease. He spoke something about his eyes, He says in Galatians 4:15 I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me." Was he seeing some terrible things of Satan with his own eyes? No one knows of which ailment Paul suffered in his life. Yet he is the good example to live as a christian. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 1 Corinthians 11:1 Follow my example, s I follow the example of Christ. " Who could say so, comparing himself with good example of Christ. Paul did so. Yet he suffered in body, death was there always reminding him that he would die any way.
Same Paul was giving a medical or worldly advice to Timothy when he was telling him take a little wine to heal the ulcer in your stomach Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. !Tim 5;23. Whatever be that wine, he prescribed it for the healing. Sometimes we question him, we try to interpretate the words to our convenience, whatever, there is medicine in our pantry sometimes, not in drug stores alone. or Chemical pharmacy stores. Life is much more complicated than you or me could understand as black and white letters or rules.
So was with the king Hezekiah, he was on death bed, death sentence was given by God through the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, " This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die, you will not recover. " @ Kings 20:1 but he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord,...wept bitterly so before the prophet left the court, the message from god came to him again..saying I saw your tears, I will heal you.. I will add fifteen years to your life then Isaiah said "Prepare a poultice of figs. "They did so and applied it to the boil, and he recovered.--what a relief, one minute he was going to die, he was at the verge of the death, prayer of the mortal changed the verdict of God sent by His prophet, year of life were added, . Here important thing is that Ointment or poultice of figs was used to heal him his boil. God shows his mirth of game now and then to bring joy in mortal hearts. How does He play, why He play has no causes to explain. again it was proved that the remedy was in the kitchen garden. not in the chemical drug store.
We read about a man in John 9:2 "His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" He answered"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," .but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him."---People are under the impression that always a disease or a deformity is due to the sin committed by the parents or the person himself. How easy it is to find fault with people and bring them to the judgment !! Still life is not that easy to be decided. There are umpteen reasons to every problem or ailments. Here Jesus was telling that this particular deformity was there just to bring Glory of God through the works be manifested to the humankind. These are miracles happened in His ministry later in the ministry of his disciples to this day. ---Matthew (:2 Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, " take heart, son; your sins are forgiven."At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves," This fellow is blaspheming!"....verse 6. ..He siad to the paralyzed man, " Get up, take your mat and go home."---Obviously His way of healing is different for each patient, in case of the woman who had issue of blood for twelve years, He just told her about her faith in Him, He did not mention of her sins there. In case of man who was blind, he out rightly told him not to brawl about his healing, in public, but go to the priests and show himself to them and offer the offering of thanksgiving in the House of Prayer. His unique relationship with each person is different. Often people were healed just by His touch, or touch of His cloth, or by His word, once He made a paste of His saliva and soil from the earth and applied it to the eye lids of the blind man and asked him to go and wash to get sight. How he works with his people is His will and wish. Just because JOB or Paul suffered so much even though they prayed for the healing , does not mean that you should loose hope of healing. Just because the dead people also raised from the coffin, by HIM it does not mean the same occurs in your case. It may or may not. His dealings are unique but every one has a hope in HIM> Every one can pray to HIM asking HIM whether He would heal or not. forgive their sins, or heal the faith of them Any thing, any way.. knowing His will in our personal illness is a MUST. So it was with me after I knew the Lord, so far , by grace of God, in case of the disease Jaundice on my death bed, He gave me promise Psalm 41:3 " The LORD will sustain him on his sick bed and restore him from his bed of illness." so was with the chekungunya.. these stories I will share in next episodes. ultimately there was time for me to trust in the verse, that He would heal by HIS WORD.
Ps 107:20 He sent his word and healed them, he rescued them from the grave.
